Credit Correct is a credit remediation practice providing CCJ removal and CIFAS marker removal services across England & Wales.
For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we are the controller of the personal information you provide to us.
When you submit an application or contact form, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number, case references (such as a CCJ case number or marker reference), and the description of your circumstances you choose to share.
When you use the site, standard technical information (such as browser type and pages visited) may be processed for the operation and security of the service.
To assess your eligibility, process your case, communicate with you, and comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
Our lawful bases include taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, the performance of that contract, our legitimate interests in operating the practice, and compliance with legal obligations.
Only where necessary to process your case — for example, with courts, HMCTS, the relevant data owners and credit reference agencies — and with service providers who store and process information on our behalf under contract.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for marketing purposes.
Case information is retained only as long as necessary for the handling of your case and for legal and regulatory record-keeping, after which it is deleted.
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have information deleted in certain circumstances, and to object to certain processing.
You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe your rights have not been respected.
